MPP Rakocevic to champion Public Transit file with a vision for better, more reliable service

QUEEN’S PARK – MPP Tom Rakocevic (Humber River-Black Creek) has been named the Ontario NDP’s Shadow Minister for Public Transportation, in addition to his existing role as Shadow Minister for Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement and critic for Auto Insurance.

“Public transit is at the heart of building a strong province, it keeps people connected to their work, family, and communities.

“Whether you live in the north, a rural community, a growing suburb, or the heart of a city, you deserve a public transit system that is affordable, reliable, and built to the highest standard. Ontarians deserve the best, and I am going to keep pushing to make that a reality.

“We need to keep expanding public transit across Ontario, but we’ve got to do it right. Major projects should be delivered on time and on budget, with respect for our taxpayer dollars and the workers who keep our system running.”

MPP Rakocevic and the Ontario NDP will continue to push for a transit system that people can rely on, while holding the government accountable to delivering projects on time, within budget, and built to actually serve the people who rely on them.
